<![CDATA[<p>I have Rosetta Stone Classroom Edition with Application Version 2.1.5.3Asms or 2.2.1Asms. How can I disconnect the Application from the Student Management System so that it runs in Stand-Alone mode?</p><p><span id="bodyfont" style="font-family:Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"><p>If you are using Rosetta Stone with the Homeschool Student Management System, you will not see the Menu screen or Activities screen because your course of study (the exercises and lessons that you will complete) is already defined by the SMS. If you would like to disable SMS so that Rosetta Stone runs in Stand-Alone mode (the same as the Personal Edition), please follow the instructions provided below. </p>
<p>Note: These instructions will permanently disable SMS. <li>Open the <em>Configure Rosetta Stone Client</em> utility
<ul>
<li>Windows users will find this on the <em>Start Menu</em> at All Programs > Rosetta Stone > (version number) >Configure Rosetta Stone Client</li>
<li>Macintosh users will find this at /Applications/Rosetta Stone/(version number)/Configure Rosetta Stone Client </li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Select the option<em> Stand-Alone</em></li>
<li>Click OK to save the changes </li>

<li>Use <em>My Computer</em> or <em>Windows Explorer</em> to browse to the program folder:

<li>Vista: C:\Program Data\Rosetta Stone\RS2.1.5.3Asms\Prefs\ </li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Delete the SMSConfig.txt file </li>
</ol>
<p>If you ever want to reconnect the Application to the SMS, you can do so by using the <em>Find SMS Servers</em> utility that is on your <em>Start Menu</em> at All Programs > Rosetta Stone > 2.1.5.3Asms > Find SMS Servers. Alternately, you can save the <img alt="null" src="/ics/images/icons/iTXT.gif" align="absmiddle" height="16" width="16" /> <a class="contentLinks" href="/ics/support/DLRedirect.asp?fileID=94">SMSConfig</a> attachment (see below) in your <em>Prefs </em>directory.</p>
